When science steps in to alter photography, it’s like experiencing the world in a new dimension.  Sir John Herschel invented cyanotype printmaking in 1842 when he discovered that ferric (iron) salts could be reduced to a ferrous state by light and then combined with other salts to create a blue-and-white image. My cyanotypes began with stencils created from mandalas in my collection. With the absence of color, all that remains is the linear graphics of my original artwork.

The cyanotype series available in this gallery are giclee prints from my original cyanotypes.  Printed to order on archival pigment paper or on acrylic glass. Limited Edition Prints, editions of 5.

The original cyanotypes are one of a kind images and are sold out.
